Why Join The NMPMA, Inc.?
The National Montford Point Marine Association (NMPMA) is
a nonprofit Veteran's organization, established to perpetuate the legacy of the first African Americans who entered the United States Marine Corps from 1942 to 1949, at Montford Point Camp, New
River, North Carolina.
Membership in the Association is open to veterans and active members of all branches of the U. S. Armed Forces regardless of race, creed, or national origin.
The purpose of the Association is to support educational assistance programs, veterans programs, and promotion of community services. The Association works to improve the social conditions of our veterans, local families, youth and the growing population of senior citizens.
NMPMA membership consists of two components...
Come join the National Montford Point Marine Association, Inc family. Membership in the Association is open to veterans and active members of all branches of the U. S. Armed Forces regardless of race, creed, or national origin, however the following criteria must be meet.
Honorably served in the Armed forces of the United States at least 90 days on active duty
Received an honorable discharge at the time of separation.
Membership Types and Fees
There are two types of membership, a life member or an annual member. Lifetime membership fees are based on age. The current fees are as follows:
Lifetime fees are as follows:
29 and below - $500.00
30-39 - $475.00
40-59 - $400.00
60 and above - $350.00
Life membership fees can be paid in a one-time payment, or in installments covering a two-year period with an initial deposit of $100.00 and in an increment payments of $100.00 (This applies to those whom are joining a local chapter). For those whom are electing to be members at large (Life) must pay full life membership as described by age above. Note: If you wish to pay in installments please join a local chapter.
The second type of membership is an annual member. Annual membership expires on 31 August each year with a 15-day grace period for renewal. Annual membership fee consists of a $25.00 payment to National as well as a local chapter fee.
Local Membership Dues/Fees
The local chapter membership fee varies for each chapter, therefore please contact the local chapter president or representative for the actual amount.

For New Members who use the below service, it is required that you submit your DD-214 and application within 30 days to the above-mentioned address or send a scanned version (PDF) to the Finance Secretary
Should this not be done in a timely manner, your payment will be returned to you.
Notice: All members assigned to a chapter may be required to pay additional monthly fees as deemed and agreed upon by that chapter’s executive by laws. These fees are not a part of membership.
